Position Overview

The Senior Level, Sales & Marketing – CDMO, Biologics role is responsible for achieving sales targets for biologics services within the assigned US territory. Reporting to the Vice President – Sales & Marketing, this position drives business growth through client engagement, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve defined sales targets for biologics services in the assigned US territory.
  • Develop and execute detailed sales forecasting, pipeline building, and budgeting for the territory.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, and professional events to build relationships and expand business opportunities.
  • Build and leverage a strong network of contacts to identify and pursue new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Analyze customer requirements and align company offerings to meet client needs effectively.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations tailored to client requirements to win new business.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and opportunity development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Scientific, Proposals, Marketing, SCM, and HR to achieve sales objectives.
  • Ensure timely updates in Salesforce.com (SF) and compliance with reporting and MIS norms.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring proactive communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor collections and ensure adherence to contractual and financial norms.
  • Foster collaboration, continuous learning, and skill development for self and team members.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences such as biology, biotechnology, or microbiology.
  • Experience: 6–10 years of total experience, including 6+ years in Business Development within CDMO, Biologics, with experience selling biologics services (Ab, CMC, etc.).
  • Leadership: Reports to the Vice President – Sales & Marketing; may lead and develop a small team, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven capability in sales forecasting, market intelligence, account management, negotiation, and use of Salesforce.com.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, business acumen, customer orientation, result orientation, and people leadership.
