Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a core member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the Managing Director (MD) as the principal strategic and financial partner. The role carries enterprise-wide responsibility for financial strategy, capital planning, fundraising, treasury, ALM, regulatory compliance, risk oversight, MIS, and governance, ensuring alignment with the MD’s strategic vision and business priorities. The CFO also supports the Board and its committees with transparent, timely, and insightful financial information to enable effective decision-making and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee fundraising through diverse financial instruments including debt (NCDs, Term Loans, ECBs), securitization, and equity.
  • Manage liquidity, cashflows, and Asset–Liability Management (ALM) while maintaining strong relationships with banks, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with RBI, SEBI, MCA, and other regulatory bodies, including timely filings and reporting.
  • Provide strategic insight and recommendations for liquidity assessment, fund application, and prudent investments.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies by forecasting and evaluating proposed financial requirements.
  • Engage and interact with the Board of Directors, Board Committees, MD, COO, and senior management team.
  • Evaluate business verticals to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvement.
  • Initiate corrective actions to minimize financial variances and ensure fiscal discipline.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and processes aligned with senior leadership directives.
  • Review organizational performance by analyzing financial trends, revenue opportunities, and expansion prospects.
  • Supervise accurate financial reporting, audits, and the implementation of strong internal controls and accounting systems.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-calibre finance team to deliver operational excellence.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: CA or MBA (Finance); exposure to IPO and M&A transactions preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, including 3–5+ years in a senior leadership role; prior experience in the BFSI / NBFC sector preferred.
  • Leadership: Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or in a closely aligned role such as Deputy CFO or Head of Finance; proven ability to manage Assets Under Management (AUM) of ₹1,500 Crores or above.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong accounting knowledge; expertise in financial accounts, fundraising, RBI compliance, treasury, ALM, and stakeholder management.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic, analytical, and governance-oriented; capable of engaging effectively with senior leadership and the Board.
  • Location: Head Office – Hyderabad; Telugu-speaking candidates or those from South India preferred.
