Position Overview
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving brand strategy, market development, and commercial success for Jardiance in the diabetes and cardio-renal space. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that leads projects and initiatives independently, influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams without direct reports. The position is based in Mumbai and reports to the Director Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual brand plans for Jardiance, including new indications such as heart failure and CKD.
- Define and track KPIs, success metrics, and readiness frameworks for the brand.
- Align promotional campaigns and advocacy initiatives to critical success factors.
- Achieve brand market share targets and topline sales through integrated brand and customer planning with long-term forecasting.
- Lead lifecycle management and ensure alignment with global and local objectives.
- Conduct market landscaping, competitor analysis (SGLT2, DPP4, GLP-1), and opportunity assessments.
- Translate clinical and patient insights into differentiated positioning and messaging.
- Identify unmet needs and value drivers in the diabetes and cardio-renal segments.
- Develop go-to-market strategies including channel mix (digital, field force, CME, patient programs), pricing, and promotional planning.
- Drive HCP engagement strategies, omnichannel activation, and KOL advocacy.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure field readiness and alignment with the brand’s value proposition.
- Influence and coordinate cross-functional teams (Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain) for seamless execution.
- Partner with Medical Affairs for scientific engagement and evidence generation.
- Manage external agencies for creative, digital, and event support.
- Track brand performance, market share, and adapt strategies in real time.
- Conduct post-launch reviews and implement learnings for future indications or campaigns.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: MBA/Master’s in Marketing, Business, or Life Sciences.
- Experience: 7+ years in pharmaceutical marketing, with 2+ years in diabetes, cardiology, or related therapeutic areas.
- Leadership: Proven success in brand management and cross-functional leadership within hybrid and matrix environments.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with launch excellence frameworks, business case development, and market analysis across therapeutic areas.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
