Position Overview

The Head – Purchase & Supply Chain will lead end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for the automotive electronics business, reporting to the Plant Head. The role drives cost, quality, and delivery performance while strengthening supplier ecosystems and enabling localization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and procurement across multiple categories.
• Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives to enhance competitiveness.
• Strengthen supplier base across NCR and pan-India to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Ensure supplier performance on OTD, quality, and reliability metrics.
• Lead commercial negotiations and vendor development programs.
• Implement localization and alternate sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and cost.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support NPD initiatives.
• Improve inventory turns and working capital efficiency.
• Build supply chain resilience and risk mitigation frameworks.
• Deliver measurable results in cost savings, supplier quality (PPM), and working capital improvement.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: 20+ years in Purchase / Supply Chain within automotive electronics or electro-mechanical industries.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships across NCR and India.
• Technical Expertise: Sourcing experience in electronics, plastics, die casting, sheet metal, and painted parts.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic leadership capabilities with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery excellence.
