Quality Head - Dairy (PSS06347)

About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Quality Head - Dairy for a fast-growing food and beverage company into dairy products.

Job Purpose: 

The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements, and internal QA programs and standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the Food Quality team and review all related business processes and decision-making ensuring food quality is adequately and appropriately considered.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the achievement of strategy and drive a quality mindset across the business.
• Provide oversight of Vendor Quality Expectations programs, co-manufacturer auditing, and quality expectations and customer requests for information for all facilities ꞏ
• Serve as a liaison between R&D and Quality for finished product specifications. Work with R&D and Procurement to ensure robust raw material specifications. and satisfaction.
• Support and guide the Quality Assurance team on programs and policies impacting operations.
• Ensure that critical quality best practices and processes are consistently applied across the organization.
• Drive continuous process improvement across the organization.
• Manage and Improve Quality Management Systems, programs, and procedures to ensure processes and products comply with government regulations, meet customer requirements, and company expectations, and achieve business goals.
• Ensure implementation of a successful Quality Certification program. Maintain compliance Certification of all facilities by developing, executing and reassessing as necessary, Certification/audit plans to achieve and maintain certification.

Educational Qualifications And Experience: 

• At least 8-10 years of total experience in Quality.
• Should be functioning as Quality Assurance Manager at the plant level or at the corporate level for at least 3 – 4 years
• Should have worked in a matrix organization and have demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple verticals and proven ability to influence senior managers/leaders outside the reporting chain.
• Dairy experience is a must
