Position Overview
This newly created leadership role exists to build a world-class people function that supports the next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of HR will transform HR into a strategic business partner, driving organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, employee engagement, and culture, while serving as a trusted advisor to the founders and executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall people strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build a scalable HR organization capable of supporting rapid business growth.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability development.
- Partner with the CEO and CXOs on strategic people initiatives.
- Serve as the primary HR Business Partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organization design, talent, succession, and leadership effectiveness.
- Provide independent perspectives on organizational health and leadership decisions.
- Serve as the "voice of the organization" by bringing employee insights and business realities to leadership discussions.
- Build a high-performance yet employee-centric culture and strengthen employee engagement across locations.
- Drive leadership accessibility and communication to improve employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and strengthen all HR Centres of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Business Partnering, Administration, and HR support for Customer Experience.
- Oversee HR support for the Customer Experience function, ensuring effective hiring and people management.
- Lead organization-wide change initiatives and modernize HR policies and processes.
- Drive HR technology adoption and HRMS effectiveness, introducing scalable HR practices suitable for a fast-growing fintech organization.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to understand employee pulse, create trust and openness, and ensure people decisions are informed by real employee insights.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: 15–20 years of progressive HR leadership experience with strong execution capability.
- Leadership: Experience building high-performing HR teams within scaled organizations; strong HR Business Partnering experience; partnering directly with CXOs and founders; managing multiple HR verticals and large, diverse teams.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning & development, HR business partnering, administration, HR technology adoption, and HRMS.
- Soft Skills: Strategic, hands-on, highly approachable, humble, grounded, strong coach and mentor, passionate about people, culture, and leadership development; comfortable operating at every level of the organization and working in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment.
