Position Overview

The organization is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as Business Head – Ortho & Pain Management, reporting to the COO. This executive will oversee strategic and operational performance, drive sustainable growth, and ensure profitability for the division. The role carries full P&L accountability and requires visionary leadership to align business objectives with overall corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full P&L management for the division, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans, monitoring performance against financial targets.
  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to enhance market share in Ortho & Pain Management therapies.
  • Identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and expansion opportunities to refine business strategy.
  • Drive business development initiatives for acute therapy products in India and international markets.
  • Oversee the complete product life cycle, collaborating with R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams.
  • Implement market penetration strategies and build strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals and institutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance for all acute therapy products.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 400 field force members, fostering innovation and accountability.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focused on Ortho & Pain Management therapy products.
  • Leadership: Proven success managing P&L for a division or business unit with revenues of Rs 180 crores or more; leadership of a 400-member field force.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical market, regulatory landscape, and healthcare trends.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities; strategic and results-driven mindset.
