Position Overview
The Business Analyst – Distribution & Sales serves as a strategic partner within the Information Technology function, bridging business stakeholders across Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain with technology teams. The role drives transformation of Sales & Distribution processes through IT solutions, ensuring alignment with growth strategy, customer-centricity, and operational efficiency. This position reports within the IT Department and collaborates closely with internal and external partners to deliver impactful digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to identify gaps, opportunities, and innovation areas in Sales & Distribution processes.
- Collaborate with internal IT and business teams to co-create digital transformation solutions.
- Engage with external implementation partners and vendors to ensure timely execution of projects.
- Drive requirement gathering, documentation, and functional design for IT solutions optimizing channel performance, dealer management, pricing, and secondary sales visibility.
- Work closely with development, testing, and support teams to ensure quality delivery of applications and enhancements.
- Act as a change champion by facilitating user adoption, conducting UAT, and ensuring smooth rollout of new digital tools.
- Support data-driven decision making through reporting, dashboards, and analytics for Sales and Distribution leaders.
- Translate complex business needs into practical IT solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Ensure alignment of technology initiatives with commercial objectives and distributor ecosystem challenges.
- Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent; MBA or Post-Graduation in Business / IT / Supply Chain preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in business analysis, IT, or related domains with deep exposure to Sales & Distribution processes.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology teams; experience collaborating with external vendors and implementation partners.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CRM, ERP (SAP SD / Oracle / MS Dynamics), DMS, Power BI, Tableau, SAP BW, and business process modeling (BPMN, UML); certifications such as SAP SD, Agile BA, ITIL, or PMP are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, analytical mindset, problem-solving orientation, change management, influencing skills, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
