Position Overview

The Vice President – Sales will lead and scale the sales organization for Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), reporting to the Director. This executive role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term strategic partnerships across domestic and international markets. The position demands a proven leader with deep EMS domain expertise and a strong record in complex B2B sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Drive top-line revenue growth across EMS offerings including PCB assembly, box build, system integration, ODM/JDM, and lifecycle services.
  • Identify new market segments, verticals, and geographies for business expansion.
  • Lead strategic business development initiatives with OEMs, ODMs, and global customers.
  • Build and manage key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial closures.
  • Act as a senior interface with customers to understand product roadmaps, volume projections, and quality expectations.
  • Represent the organization in industry forums, trade shows, and customer reviews.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales and business development team with clear KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure seamless execution.
  • Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue reporting, presenting regular business reviews to leadership.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years in Sales or Business Development within EMS, Electronics Manufacturing, or Contract Manufacturing.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role; managed a team for the last 4 years.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of EMS business models, cost structures, and manufacturing processes; expertise in solution-based and consultative B2B selling; strong analytical, forecasting, and CRM skills.
  • Business Performance: Demonstrated ability to generate more than Rs. 50 crore in revenue from new customers in the last year.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability; excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage global customers and multicultural teams.
