Position Overview
The Business Unit Head will be responsible for sales and P&L responsibilities of the company's real estate assets in Rwanda. This sales and commerical leadership role carries full P&L accountability for the SEZ business unit. The position reports to senior management and is responsible for driving growth, investor engagement, and operational efficiency across the assigned market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall P&L and operations of the SEZ business unit in the assigned country..
- Drive sales of SEZ infrastructure and real estate assets to Indian, African, and global investors by articulating the value proposition of investing in Africa.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Africa and internationally to ensure smooth business operations.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain high standards of governance and reporting.
- Represent the business unit in investor and partner discussions to strengthen market presence.
- Foster a performance-driven culture emphasizing agility, accountability, and innovation.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Engineering and MBA graduate from a premium business school strongly preferred.
- 8–12 years in sales, marketing, and P&L management within the FMCG or consumer goods industry in India or candidates working in the FMCG industry already based in Africa.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, oversee cross-functional operations, and lead a full business unit.
- Soft Skills: Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, agile, commercially astute, and an effective communicator.
