Position Overview
The Marketing & Sales Executive – Reinsurance Broking role is designed to drive business development and manage client and reinsurer relationships across Treaty and Facultative placements. Reporting to senior management, this position plays a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s footprint in French-speaking and international markets through strategic relationship management and market engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in both Treaty and Facultative reinsurance.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships through consistent engagement and value-added services.
- Liaise with insurers and reinsurers to understand their needs and deliver tailored reinsurance solutions.
- Develop marketing strategies and client pitch presentations to support business growth.
- Coordinate with internal technical and broking teams for proposal development, placement support, and quote negotiations.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings locally and internationally.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activities, particularly in Francophone and Latin markets.
- Maintain CRM systems and provide regular sales reporting to senior management.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACII or ANZIIF are advantageous.
- Experience: 4-5 years of hands-on experience in reinsurance broking, underwriting, or business development.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage client and reinsurer relationships and report to senior management.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Treaty and Facultative reinsurance across Property, Casualty, and Specialty lines; ability to source, negotiate, and close reinsurance deals.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated, proactive, results-driven, and culturally adaptable.
- Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory) and French (highly preferred) or Spanish (advantageous).
- Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally as required.
