Position Overview

The AVP – Data Services role leads the end-to-end product and technology roadmap for data products, driving innovation across real-time feeds, analytics, and indices. This position oversees cross-functional teams and ensures delivery excellence, platform reliability, and client satisfaction through robust engineering and product leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product roadmap for data products spanning real-time feeds, historical data, analytics, indices, and workstations.
• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver scalable, high-quality data infrastructure and consumer-facing products.
• Develop and deliver AI-enabled data products with full ownership of roadmap and engineering execution against committed timelines.
• Drive technology discussions with enterprise clients, managing system integrations, SLA adherence, onboarding experience, and user feedback loops.
• Define and enforce platform architecture standards including data normalization, latency benchmarks, redundancy, and API versioning.
• Manage technology costs of approximately Rs. 10 crores over five years; evaluate build vs. buy decisions and optimize total cost of ownership.
• Collaborate with the Data Partnerships team to evaluate and onboard third-party data vendors, ensuring technical compatibility and quality control.
• Establish product analytics and usage telemetry frameworks to measure adoption, inform feature prioritization, and reduce customer churn.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: BE/B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience: 10–15 years of total relevant work experience in technology and data product development.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Technical Expertise: Product engineering, data infrastructure, AI-enabled product development, system integration, and API architecture.
• Soft Skills: Strategic, analytical, and execution-focused with strong client engagement and delivery management capabilities.
