Position Overview
The HR Business Partner leads the end-to-end Human Resources agenda for the Philippines, partnering closely with the country leadership team to drive business growth, organizational effectiveness, and a strong people-centric culture. Reporting to the Regional HR Head and Country Manager, this role ensures robust HR governance, talent readiness, and alignment with regional and global HR strategies while maintaining compliance with local labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & implement country level HR strategy aligned with Global/ Regional goals. Act as a strategic partner to the Country Manager and leadership team.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing efforts to ensure that all budgeted and planned positions are manned by competent people.
- Connect with employees through effective communication foster a positive workplace culture and engagement programs
- Create programs for organizational health and advise leadership on managing people issues and concerns
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure that the compensation and benefits for employees is at par with the competition, through benchmarking and development of strategic linkages.
- Oversee Payroll, benefits administration, and incentives
- Design and recommend Country-specific retention interventions
- Coordinate the smooth conduct of performance management from KRA setting to monitoring of performance year
- round, all the way to performance reviews.
- Undertaking training Needs Analysis and ensuring all learning needs are met for the country. Design capability training
- journeys in support of growing the careers of high potential people
- Oversee HR processes, onboarding, HRIS, exits etc.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management with specialization in Human Resources or Psychology; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in Human Resources, including at least 4 years leading the function for a country or business unit.
- Leadership: Proven ability to partner with senior leadership, manage teams, and influence stakeholders across functions.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the local pharmaceutical business, Philippines Labor laws, and HR processes including performance management, compensation, and learning & development.
- Soft Skills: Strategic, analytical, results-oriented, with strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching capabilities.
- Demonstrated maturity in team handling, ability to inspire, and drive performance in a dynamic environment.
