Position Overview

The Head of Legal & Company Secretary will lead the company’s legal, compliance, and governance function, partnering closely with senior leadership to support business strategy and execution. This position is based in Saket, Delhi and reports to the CFO/Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, labour, and regulatory laws.
  • Independently manage end‑to‑end secretarial and corporate legal matters as Company Secretary.
  • Lead Board, Committee, and shareholder processes including AGMs/EGMs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to safeguard business interests.
  • Prepare clear execution plans with defined steps, timelines, and accountability.
  • Manage litigation and external counsel strategically to mitigate risk.
  • Proactively communicate complete and structured information to stakeholders.
  • Build, mentor, and develop the internal legal team to enhance functional capability.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized institution; Company Secretary (CS) qualification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of legal experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead legal and secretarial functions in a listed company, collaborating with senior executives and the Board.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance, and commercial contracts; hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end legal and secretarial responsibilities.
  • Soft Skills: Strong execution speed, ownership mindset, structured and proactive communication, independent legal judgment, and a pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach.
