With a consistent growth rate of approximately 20% year-on-year over three decades, it represents global polymer leaders and serves diverse industries including automotive, electrical & electronics, consumer goods, and industrial applications. Under second-generation leadership, the company continues to expand into specialty polymers, recycled plastics (RP++), and emerging sectors such as Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Position Overview

The Sales Manager – Western India will lead business development and sales across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa & Rajasthan. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role drives revenue growth, customer acquisition, and principal engagement, positioning the company as the preferred ETP partner for plastics processors, OEMs, and moulders in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual sales plans to achieve volume and revenue targets across the Western India territory.
  • Identify and convert new accounts in automotive, electrical & electronics, consumer durables, and industrial segments.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, presentations, sampling, trials, approvals, and order closure.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers to ensure retention, satisfaction, and wallet-share expansion.
  • Provide grade selection guidance and application support during product development and tooling stages.
  • Collaborate with principals’ technical and sales teams for joint business development and application trials.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and emerging market opportunities; provide strategic feedback to management.
  • Lead and mentor regional sales executives, ensuring accurate CRM records, forecasts, and receivables management.
  • Achieve targeted gross margins through disciplined pricing, discount control, and value-based selling.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and operational efficiency.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Plastics, Polymer, or Chemical Engineering preferred; MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage.
  • Experience: 6–10 years in sales of Engineering Thermoplastics, specialty polymers, or related materials, with a proven track record in Western India.
  • Leadership: Experience managing regional sales operations and mentoring junior team members; reports to the Managing Director.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of PA, PC, ABS, POM, PBT/PET, LCP, PEEK and related alloys; understanding of processing and application domains.
  • Soft Skills: Hunter mentality with a consultative approach; strong negotiation and influencing skills; self-driven, high ownership, and excellent communication in Hindi, English, and Marathi/Gujarati.
