Position Overview

This role is responsible for identifying and developing Institutional Business opportunities across Government and PSU segments. The position drives business growth through strategic engagement with key institutions, negotiation with purchasing authorities, and coordination with internal stakeholders to achieve quantitative and qualitative outcomes. The role covers Mumbai and parts of the West Zone India territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new Institutional Business opportunities in Government and PSU sectors.
  • Coordinate preparation of quotations and participate in tender processes.
  • Negotiate effectively with purchasing authorities in targeted institutions.
  • Manage relationships with KOLs and key institutional stakeholders.
  • Plan and organize product promotion campaigns and scientific presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations relevant to pharmaceutical operations in hospitals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Sales Trade Team to generate institutional demand and facilitate stock liquidation.
  • Coordinate with ISPs and Sales Management Teams to align institutional objectives.
  • Drive long-term projects with a focus on government institutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of institutional business trends and regulatory changes.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (e.g., MBBS, MSc), or Diploma; MBA with Marketing specialization preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience handling Institution Business within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to coordinate across internal teams and external institutional stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of pharma industry operations, tendering processes, and government regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic, persuasive, and adept at relationship management; capable of extensive travel across assigned territories.
