Position Overview
The AVP Technology – Incident Manager role is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring service continuity and rapid recovery during critical incidents. The role drives cross-functional coordination, leads incident response, and ensures transparent communication with stakeholders and senior management. Based in Mumbai, this position plays a pivotal role in maintaining system reliability and business resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and lead bridge calls to ensure ownership, action, and timelines remain aligned toward service restoration.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of monitoring systems that detect anomalies leading to potential incidents.
- Act as the primary SPOC during incidents or crises, analyzing business impact and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, senior management, and relevant parties throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Minimize downtime during unplanned service disruptions and coordinate rapid system restoration.
- Lead post-incident reviews to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement preventive measures.
- Log incident details, track timelines, and prepare after-incident and post-incident review reports.
- Maintain focus and make clear decisions in high-pressure and uncertain situations.
- Correlate timelines, server logs, and operational signals to build a clear picture of system failures.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: BE / MCA / other graduates with strong academic records and professional history.
- Experience: 15+ years total experience with a minimum of 12+ years relevant experience in IT industry, IT enabled services, Banking, Financial, or Stock/Commodity Exchange domains.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-impact incidents with senior stakeholder engagement.
- Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of Storage, Servers, Network, Security tools, and other hardware devices; functional understanding of Exchange related applications (Stock/Commodity/CTCL) and Financial/Banking applications.
- Soft Skills: Strong ownership, commitment, communication, and collaboration skills; team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
