Position Overview
The Program Manager will support the Chief VLE & PE in driving cross-functional vehicle programs from development through launch and post-launch. Based at the Halol Plant (Gujarat), this leadership role ensures alignment across global and domestic teams to achieve program objectives in quality, timing, cost, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional program teams including Engineering, CEM, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain to achieve program goals.
- Coordinate global and domestic resources to align objectives, execution plans, and communication efficiency.
- Support the Vehicle Line Executive (VLE) in building a proactive and high-performing program team from development to post-launch.
- Plan, define, and track all cross-functional and cross-regional project activities from concept to launch and beyond.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Program Managers, department heads, and senior stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Prepare and manage key program documentation including budgets, timing plans, and PDS reports.
- Conduct Program Execution Team (PET) meetings and Vehicle Program Reviews for top management.
- Lead cross-regional program meetings to review key elements, issues, and status updates.
- Report and escalate program status to the cross-functional Program Core Team to identify conflicts and enable effective decision-making.
- Ensure project compliance with Milestone Review elements and organizational standards.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Engineering degree from a reputed university.
- Experience: 16 to 20 years in the automotive industry with expertise in vehicle program management and engineering.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams, collaborating with senior management and multiple departments.
- Technical Expertise: Vehicle program management, engineering processes, quality, cost, timing, and problem-solving.
- Soft Skills: Strong system thinking, problem-solving orientation, teamwork, communication, presentation skills, ownership, and results focus.
