A leading Indian pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare company specialising in innovative oral solid dosage and novel drug-delivery technologies, with a growing presence in domestic and international markets.
Position Overview
The role will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance function at the manufacturing facility and ensuring that all products and processes meet the required quality and regulatory standards. The person will work closely with Manufacturing and other functions to maintain strong quality systems, address issues proactively and build a strong quality culture across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Quality Assurance function, ensuring compliance with quality standards, GMP requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Manage and strengthen quality systems, documentation, in-process quality checks and batch review/release processes.
- Oversee quality investigations, product complaints, deviations, corrective actions, validations and other quality-related issues.
- Lead internal, supplier and regulatory audits, ensuring timely resolution and closure of observations.
- Work closely with Production, QC, Engineering, R&D and Supply Chain to address quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Build and develop the QA team through training, coaching and performance management.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on quality performance, compliance risks and improvement areas, while promoting a strong quality culture across the plant.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- M.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
- 15–20 years of experience in Quality Assurance within pharmaceutical manufacturing with prior experience in a senior QA/plant quality leadership role with exposure to regulatory audits and inspections.
Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems and regulatory requirements
- Experience in audits, investigations, CAPA and validation
- Strong team leadership and people development skills
- Good decision-making, problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
