Position Overview

The Business Head (North) will lead the Micro LAP segment across the northern zone, driving business growth, portfolio quality, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role holds full accountability for business performance, people development, and compliance within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of the Loan Against Property (LAP) business across the northern zone.
  • Lead and manage Regional Business Heads (RBH) and Cluster Business Heads (CBH) to achieve assigned business targets.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing field force.
  • Monitor and review performance on key productivity and efficiency parameters including login, disbursement, and collection.
  • Ensure compliance with audit observations and maintain operational discipline across branches.
  • Oversee collection management and maintain a healthy portfolio quality.
  • Provide feedback on the design and development of business policies and processes.
  • Drive overall performance across all business and hygiene parameters.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate & above; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 15–20 years of relevant experience in secured lending businesses such as LAP, MSME, or affordable housing.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage large regional teams including RBH and CBH roles, with direct accountability for business outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of secured loan products, credit processes, collections, and compliance frameworks.
  • Soft Skills: Strategic, performance-driven, and adept at stakeholder management and team motivation.
