Position Overview

The Plant Head – Cosmetics Manufacturing will lead complete operations of the Cosmetics & Personal Care Manufacturing Facility at Salwan, Karnal, Haryana. Reporting to the Director / COO / Managing Director, this role drives production, quality, engineering, supply chain, EHS, regulatory compliance, cost management, and team leadership to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for cosmetics and personal care products.
• Drive capacity utilization, productivity improvement, and achievement of monthly production plans.
• Enhance OEE, yield, and line efficiency across all production lines.
• Ensure full compliance with Cosmetic Rules, GMP, and internal quality systems.
• Manage audits and regulatory inspections, maintaining zero critical observations.
• Coordinate procurement, production planning, and inventory management to optimize RM, PM, and finished goods levels.
• Oversee preventive maintenance systems to improve machine uptime and plant reliability.
• Control manufacturing costs, improve productivity, and deliver annual savings projects.
• Lead department heads across Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, HR/Admin, and Planning.
• Support scale-up and commercialization of new cosmetic products in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm, B.Tech Chemical / Mechanical, M.Sc Chemistry; MBA Operations preferred.
• Experience: 15–25 years in Cosmetics, Personal Care, Ayurvedic, or FMCG Manufacturing, including a minimum of 8–10 years as Plant Head / Unit Head / Operations Head.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team of 150–300 employees across production, quality, warehouse, engineering, HR, purchase, and planning, with ₹50–150 crore business responsibility.
• Technical Expertise: Multi-product manufacturing, GMP compliance, preventive maintenance, cost optimization, and new product introduction.
• Soft Skills: Strategic, analytical, quality-focused, and operationally disciplined leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
