Position Overview

The Key Account Manager – Ecommerce will take ownership of key e-commerce accounts to drive sustainable, profitable growth across online marketplaces. Reporting to the Head of E-commerce / Business Head, this role is critical in scaling the online business and strengthening the company’s position as a leading sustainable consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own overall business performance of assigned e-commerce accounts and build strong relationships with marketplace account and category managers.
  • Develop annual and quarterly account plans aligned with business objectives to identify opportunities for assortment expansion, visibility, and incremental revenue.
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through assortment, pricing, promotions, visibility, and availability management.
  • Analyze account-level performance to identify gaps and growth opportunities, developing action plans to improve sales, conversion, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and effective product listings across marketplaces, monitoring content, pricing, ratings, reviews, and assortment to improve discoverability and conversion.
  • Plan and execute key marketplace events and promotional campaigns, negotiating discounts, placements, and commercial terms with partners.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain and demand planning teams to maintain healthy inventory levels and prevent lost sales due to availability issues.
  • Track and analyze key e-commerce metrics including GMV, net sales, conversion rate, traffic, in-stock percentage, returns, and promotion effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular business reports and translate data into actionable insights and growth initiatives, presenting performance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Performance Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product, and Customer Experience teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Drive resolution of operational and marketplace issues to maintain account health and relationship strength.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–6 years in e-commerce, key account management, marketplace management, or online sales.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience managing platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, or similar; strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Domain Knowledge: FMCG, consumer goods, D2C, beauty, home care, personal care, or related categories preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage key accounts and influence marketplace partners; strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Soft Skills: Commercially oriented with an ownership mindset; strong problem-solving skills; excellent communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; highly data-driven with strong execution capability.
