Position Overview

The Country Manager – Central and Distributor APAC Markets leads the full spectrum of commercial operations across Cambodia, Laos, Export Markets, Indonesia, S. Korea, and Taiwan. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Business Head – APAC, the role drives financial performance, market expansion, and organizational capability to deliver consistent year-on-year growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable growth year on year by achieving or exceeding financial plans and optimizing revenues and operating margins.
  • Lead commercial operations across Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Supply Chain, and Finance for assigned APAC markets.
  • Identify key customers and maintain close market engagement to stay aligned with evolving business realities.
  • Establish and expand branded pharmaceutical interests across responsible countries through strategic market development.
  • Conceptualize and execute strategies for consolidation, new territorial entry, and new product introductions.
  • Identify and close business development opportunities based on market insights and growth potential.
  • Ensure effective demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management to maintain supply continuity and timely collections.
  • Guide teams in sales planning and implement Sales Force effectiveness strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent; mentor teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal systems, processes, and regulatory requirements across all markets.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Science or Pharmacy and a Master’s Degree in Marketing or International Business.
  • Experience: At least 10+ years in Sales & Marketing with 3–5 years of exposure in SEA Markets (Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, distributors, and stakeholders across multiple APAC markets.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, Rx and Gx portfolios, Respiratory therapeutic area, distributor management (B2B), sales force management, brand management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, analytical and conceptual thinking, negotiation and stakeholder management, results orientation, and attention to detail.
