About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire an Assistant General Manager - Human Resources for a fast-growing and reputed pharma-medical device company with global operations.
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage end-to-end HR strategy and operations, driving talent acquisition, development, engagement, performance, retention, and compliance across the HR value chain to support organizational growth and excellence in a medical device and pharma business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy & Planning: Develop and implement HR policies and manpower plans covering recruitment, talent acquisition, and deployment across all levels.
- Motivation & Retention: Design and execute strategies to drive employee engagement, motivation, commitment, and retention.
- Performance Management: Oversee Performance Appraisal Systems, ensuring timely, objective, and effective evaluation of employee performance.
- Training & Development: Assess training needs based on performance outcomes and organizational goals, and implement learning initiatives.
- Organization Development (OD): Plan and execute interventions to address organizational gaps, build capabilities, and prepare for future needs.
- Compensation & Rewards: Maintain competitive and fair remuneration and rewards frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure proactive adherence to labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Strategic HR Advisory: Provide counsel to management on HR best practices, digital HR tools, and strategic people initiatives.
Key Competencies:
- Deep understanding of human behavioral sciences and organizational management.

- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with high interpersonal effectiveness.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for HR management.

Educational Qualifications And Experience:
- A minimum of 12+ years of overall experience in the Pharma/ Medical Device industry.
- MBA in Human Resources or Business Management
- Willingness to travel between Mumbai and plants and R&D centre based in Gujarat
- Managed a diverse workforce in a manufacturing environment
