About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Chief Business Officer for a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) which provides loans to Micro Enterprises, SMEs, Consumption and Education Loan.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of the microfinance institution. The Chief Business Officer ensures sustainable growth, financial health, and the effective delivery of financial services to underserved communities. This Position will oversee the MFI Business, MSME & SP Vertical & reports to the COO

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and performance management
Lead and optimize day-to-day operations to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Implement robust policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across various departments
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and community partners.
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

Educational Qualifications And Experience:

MBA with 20 to 25 years of experience
Leadership Skills
Strategic Thinking:
Expertise in financial management and budgeting
Good Industry Knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
