About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Head - Human Resources for a prominent player within the FMCG industry, specializing in packaged food and beverages.

Job Purpose: 

This role places a strong emphasis on spearheading sales HR initiatives, with a primary focus on crafting talent acquisition strategies tailored to the sales team's needs. As a crucial member of the team, the individual will be instrumental in steering the HR function's growth, providing a distinctive chance to shape the organizational culture and contribute significantly to the enduring success of a renowned legacy brand.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Talent Acquisition:

● Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for hiring sales professionals.

● Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.

● Conduct interviews and manage the entire recruitment process.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

● Design and implement competitive salary structures based on Travel Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) for the sales team.

 

Incentive Policy Streamlining:

● Analyse current incentive policies and recommend improvements to drive performance.

● Work closely with the sales leadership team to align incentives with business objectives.

● Implement transparent and motivating incentive structures.

 

Policy and SOP Drafting:

● Develop and update HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

● Communicate policies effectively to employees and conduct training as necessary.

 

HRMIS Implementation:

● Lead the implementation of a robust Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS).

● Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.

● Utilise HR analytics to make data-driven decisions.

 

Induction Program:

● Develop and oversee a comprehensive induction program for new sales employees.

● Ensure that new hires receive the necessary training and information to integrate seamlessly into the organisation.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

Employee Relations:

● Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting open communication.

● Mediate and resolve conflicts to maintain a healthy workplace culture.

 

Performance Management:

● Collaborate with managers to establish performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.

● Implement performance improvement plans as needed.

 

Training and Development:

● Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.

● Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

 

Employee Engagement:

● Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

● Organise team-building activities and recognition programs.

 

Legal Compliance:

● Stay updated on labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

● Provide guidance to management on legal matters related to HR.

 

Sales Force Automation (SFA) Software:

● Familiarity with SFA software such as Field Assist and Bizom.

● Collaborate with IT and sales teams to optimise the utilisation of SFA tools for efficient sales operations.

 

Data Management Skills:

● Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint to analyse and present HR data effectively.

● Utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

● Proven experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in the FMCG sector.

● Strong understanding of compensation and incentive structures.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Knowledge of HRMIS implementation.
