Plant Head - Silvassa (PSS05958)

About the client:  PSS has been mandated to hire a Plant Head for a leading company manufacturing copper alloy products used in industries like Automotive, Electrical Components, Aerospace, Marine etc.

Job Purpose: 

The key purpose of this role is to oversee the overall operation and management of the Factory and ensure the smooth running of all plant processes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee all aspects of the copper plant operations to ensure smooth running and achieve production targets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and optimize production.
• Coordinate and manage the workflow, resources, and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and analyze plant performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the plant. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational issues and implement process improvements.
• Manage and develop a team of plant personnel, including training, performance evaluation, and mentoring.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and manage plant budgets and expenses to meet financial targets.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques.

Educational Qualifications And Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferably Metallurgy/ Mechanical.
• 20 years of experience in non-ferrous foundry / forging plant operations, with at least 5 years in a plant head role
• Proven track record of successfully managing plant operations and achieving production targets.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in plant operations.
