About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a National Sales and Marketing Manager for a leading Indian pharma company with global operations

Job Purpose

Responsible for driving secondary sales and marketing initiatives in Vietnam while  ensuring double-digit secondary growth in each of the geographies in the country, and driving successful new product launches while being within the defined expense

 

Key Responsibilities

Financials-

  • Drive profitable growth year on year.
  • Maximize the value by optimizing revenue and operating margins.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Identify key customers and maintain a connection to stay abreast of market realities.

Tender business management

  • Understand and tap the tender business opportunities in the market with the desired sales outcome

Marketing Strategy & Business Development

  • Establish and build the organization‘s branded pharmaceutical interests in the Country through organic means; Conceptualization and execution of strategy for consolidation, new territorial entry, and new product introduction.
  • Identify potential business development opportunities based on market understanding and lead the discussions for closure of the same.

Distribution and Channel Management

  • Ensure smooth demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management in order to avoid gaps between supply and demand.
  • Ensure timely stocks to retailers, pharmacies, and hospitals. Ensure collection happens within the stipulated time frame.

Sales Strategy

  • Provide guidance to the team for sales planning based on market conditions.
  • Based on new initiatives, design and implement Sales Force effectiveness strategies to increase productivity.

People Management & Development

  • Attract and retain talent. Driving development, coaching, and mentoring of the team to meet business objectives.

 

Qualifications & Experience.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate/ Pharma Graduate/ MBA preferred
  • Graduate Degree in Science / Pharmacy and Master’s Degree in Marketing / International Business

 

Experience:

  • 8 - 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, of which at least 5 years should be in a people management role within Sales and/or Marketing function
  • Required sales experience in branded generic business & OTC in Vietnam
  • Must have tender business knowledge and experience
