Job Purpose:
To lead and scale the Corporate Agency vertical of the insurance broking business. The role involves defining strategic direction, managing insurer partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance with IRDAI norms, and driving business growth and profitability across multiple insurance categories.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the insurance distribution vertical under the company’s Corporate Agency license.

Lead business planning, budgeting, and P&L ownership for the vertical in alignment with organizational goals.

Build and scale a multi-insurer partnership network across life, general, and health insurance segments.

Ensure full compliance with IRDAI and statutory guidelines governing corporate agency operations.

Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities and compliance teams for licensing, renewals, audits, and reporting.

Establish risk management and governance frameworks to ensure process integrity.

Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with insurance partners; negotiate and drive joint business objectives.

Oversee product selection, pricing, and proposition design tailored for the microfinance and retail segments.

Collaborate with operations, credit, and technology teams to integrate insurance offerings within existing customer journeys.

Build and manage sales processes, digital platforms, and capability development frameworks for branch and field teams.

Monitor business performance metrics, conduct reviews, and drive performance improvement initiatives.

Develop, mentor, and lead a specialized insurance team across head office and regional locations to achieve business goals.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related field.

IRDAI Corporate Agency certification or Insurance Broking certification preferred.

15–18 years of experience in insurance distribution, bancassurance, or corporate agency (with NBFC, MFI, Bank, or Insurance Broking firm).

Proven track record of managing P&L, large-scale distribution networks, and compliance governance.

Experience in managing relations with multiple insurer partners and scaling insurance businesses from inception.
